Pastor Stephen Splawn is a South Carolina native that has served in ministry in various capacities since his youth. Before being called to pastor First Northeast Baptist Church (FNEBC), Stephen served four years as an Evangelism Strategist for the 2,000+ churches belonging to the South Carolina Baptist Convention (SCBC). Prior to moving to the Midlands, he served for four years as an Associate Pastor of Discipleship while bi-vocational.
He has served in mission trips across our nation, Central America and East Asia sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He teaches in schools, universities and youth camps across our state. Pastor Splawn has vigorously pursued God throughout his life and being led by the Spirit serves wherever God calls him.
He began his seminary development with the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and will complete his Master in Divinity with Anderson University with plans to pursue his PhD in Leadership. Stephen graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Mass Communications and Journalism.
Stephen met his best friend and now-wife, Jessica, while still in college and married her soon after. They both serve in ministry together from Discipleship training, speaking at college retreats/events, marriage workshops and most importantly, at home to their two children, Mackenzie (11) and Xavier (9). As a family, they love traveling, trying new foods, swimming, playing board games and watching movies. With the exception of Jessica, they also enjoy playing video games and outdoor sports.
